Easter Alternative | Part I

F21 Cowl Neck Sweater // Top Shop Moto 'Leigh' Ripped Jeans //
F21 Triangle Charm Necklace // Noonday Bracelet  c/o // SOREL Toronto Lace Boots c/o

Growing up in the south, Easter Sunday was always a huge deal. You had a special 'Easter Sunday' dress, which was purchased just to wear on Easter. Church, relatives in town, egg hunts, candy, and a huge lunch that would turn into dinner (and a nap.)

Since I moved away from Texas, Easter hasn't been THAT big of a deal anymore since I'm not near family. The look above is great for a casual Sunday spent with family or friends. I love this sweater because it is SO soft and lightweight--perfect for brunch. Aaaand, wouldn't be uncomfortable to post-brunch nap in too :)

Weekend In Photos

Friday I was lucky enough to be away from the office with Ryan, shooting images for the Fall 2015 Sorel windows. You guys, Fall/Winter for Sorel is way too cute and I can't wait to get my hands on ALL of them! Lucky for you, the one shown below is available NOW!

Per the usual, it rained this weekend. Sunday morning was spent at the track, and of course, I brought along the coffee. If anyone out there is in the Pacific Northwest, I highly suggest you try out Starbucks 'Order Ahead.' I use it all the time--esp. weekday mornings when time is tight. All you have to do is download the Starbucks app, connect your PayPal account, and put in your order! It lets you know when your drink will be ready and you just walk in, skip the line, and grab your drink at the barista station! Beware: you will get dirty looks ;)

After practice, we went to Pacific Pie, down the street from us. For the longest time, this has been our little brunch secret. We'd go there on a Sunday for brunch, and watch the super long line of brunchers across the street at Besaw's while we got our food in no time. Bad news for us, it's been discovered and now you have to wait to get a table! That being said, it's still a great place to grab an Aussie inspired bite, smoothie, or pie!

Sunday evening, the rain gave way just enough for a gorgeous sunset and shiny streets :)

Have a great week, everyone!

The Feed. Food for Athletes

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I've teamed up with The Feed to bring you guys a great giveaway...keep reading!

I think we can all agree that Hangry is a necessary addition to the English language. And I wouldn't be surprised if my photo showed up next to the definition in Miriam Webster's. I recently received a Winter Sports Box from The Feed and loved taking all of the snacks along on my adventures to try. (Everyone loves the friend who has snacks!)

Everything is portable and easy to stow away in a pocket or backpack until you're ready for some fuel. I can't tell you how many times the goodies in this box gave me that little extra boost I needed. It's also the perfect size to throw into my desk drawer at work for those afternoons when I've been scrolling through Pinterest or Twitter way too long and I'm starting to doze off.

Whether you're a serious athlete or someone who just likes to snack healthy (we all know those donuts in the break area at work are calling your name)-- The Feed is a great solution for all of your hangry, and questionable food moments.

The best part about The Feed is that you can subscribe! Who doesn't love getting packages in the mail, and on top of that packages you can chow down on. What I love about getting a box like this delivered to my door is that it's full of things that I may have seen in stores, but haven't tried.

The even better part? If you head over to my Instagram, follow The Feed and leave a comment under the picture above about your favorite outdoor activity, you can win you own box from The Feed! Winner will be announced on Wednesday :)

Special thanks to The Feed for sponsoring this post.

Neutrals x Sorel Lake Boot

Batwing Sweater (old) // AG Jeans // Paige Denim Tee // H&M Shoulder Bag // Crush Sunnies // Sorel Lake Boot

Spring has sprung! I mentioned it yesterday, but I've seriously never seen Portland look so beautiful with all the blooming flowers, trees, and sunshine! This past weekend was almost warm and I couldn't help but busting out the peep toes to ring in the new season.

I love anything Sorel, but this rare pair of Sorel sandals is one of my favorites. They're so unique and comfortable! I've never seen another pair of sandals quite like the Lake Boot and they're easy to dress up or down depending on the days events.

It's not a sunny day without a pair of cute sunglasses. Since I was so neutral, I decided to add a pop of color with these Crush Sunglasses. Again, I've seen everyone wearing the pricey colorful Ray Bans, but this pair is a low enough price point that allows me to not have to worry about throwing them in my bag AND I can have enough $$ left over to purchase 4 more pair!

Time to slowly put the thick wool sweaters away and welcome spring with open arms :)

Weekend In Photos

Last week I was SO off the radar. I spent more days at home, sick, than in the office. I think I'm finally on the mend!

On Saturday, we got up suuuuuuper early to head to McMinnville for Ryan's first track meet of the season. After checking in his javelins, we headed to Community Plate for a little pre-meet breakfast. Talk about a down-home, comfy place. Everyone was so nice, smiling, and it felt like I was back home in Texas. I will definitely be revisiting Community Plate if I ever happen to find myself in McMinnville again!

The weather, was again, unusually nice this weekend! Trees and flowers were in bloom, the sun was shining, and driving just wasn't an option--walking was a necessity.

Of course we rounded out the weekend with yummy Mexican food, margaritas, and a little lazy lounging around the apartment.

I hope Daylight Saving time didn't throw anyone off too much. I know I feel like I lost about 5 hours of rest. This week is going to be amazing since my entire team is out of the country. I LOVE being alone in the office with ample amounts of peace and quiet to get projects done.

Here's to a great week ahead!

Rose Gold x Iced Lattes

It's March already?! What the heck?! 2015 is flying by and it really needs to take a chill pill! I can tell spring is here because everything is in bloom and I had a serious case of allergies today. I'm currently curled up on the couch surrounded by Alka Seltzer Plus, tissues, and cough drops.

Add this past weekend to the list of perfect weekends. I think I drank my weight in coffee while I soaked in every moment of sunshine and relaxation.

My new favorite purchase is this pair of rose gold New Balance sneakers. I. die. I saw these last week and had to stop mid work day to purchase. I am obsessed with anything rose gold and Ryan had to hold me back form buying every color these came in. They're extremely comfortable and could easily replace five other pairs of shoes that I own.

I hope everyone's week got off to a great start and I hope these allergies go away soon! Anyone have tips on what to take, what to do, etc. to calm this allergy monster? Comment below!

Weekend In Photos

This weekend was extremely productive and I'm so thankful! Saturday was spent relaxing and all I remember is eating a ton of candy... I have the worlds biggest sweet tooth.

Saturday night, Ryan and I decided to head to Northeast Portland in search of a new dinner spot. We happened upon Fonda Rosa, a tiny little cantina tucked away on a side street. The staff was so friendly and they made the BEST blended mango margaritas. It was definitely worth the trek across the river!

It is so nice to wake up to sun shining through the windows! Sunday we headed out to Ryan's javelin practice. I always have to grab a Dutch Brother's coffee because it's so cold in the mornings!

One more coffee break for me while Ryan got his hair cut next door. I'll spare you the laundry and spaghetti making photos. Such a great (and productive) weekend!

This week will be a busy week at work. I will be getting our Spring '15 gear mailed out while the rest of my team is finishing preparations for their trip to Sweden on the 9th. I won't be going, but I'm sure looking forward to a week of quiet around the office!
