Three Day Weekends + Moto Jackets

Happy Monday! I'm so happy for a day off. Our team has been furiously working on getting everything in place for the Sundance Film Festival and we are so close to being ready to take off. If you're going to be there, keep an eye out for the SOREL team!

I can't say enough how much I LOVE this moto jacket. Yes, it's SOREL, and I am not just saying how much I adore it because I work for the brand. Since I got it, I've been planning my outfits around it every single day. It's the perfect warmth you'd want in a moto jacket and I don't even take it off when I'm in the office...seriously, I keep it pretty much glued to my body. It is for sure an investment piece, but it's great because it's not a bulky winter coat and will be perfect for chilly spring days as well.

Another thing that hasn't left my body since I got it from my parents for Christmas is this Kendra Scott earring and necklace set. I have been wearing KS for years and I love how her line has evolved and now includes dainty pieces that are great for everyday wear. Portland Snow Day + SOREL Aylwin Jacket

Immediately upon arriving in Portland from Texas, we were greeted by a beautiful snow landscape. While it was an incredible sight from the seats in our plane, in no time the snow turned to ice. Fortunately, this granted us a reprieve from our first Monday of the new year! 

On our way home from the airport, we stopped to grab food because we were more than likely going to be iced in. I couldn't help but want to run out in the first snow of the year and try out my new SOREL jacket. 

This is the first time SOREL has had an outerwear line and it's pretty amazing. If you're in the market for a coat that is extremely stylish and warm the Aylwin Jacket is pretty much perfect. 

Buffalo Plaid + Furry Poms

Let the holiday break begin!

If there are three things that represent winter for me its - plaid shirts, aggressive pom pom beanies, and kick ass boots. I never owned a plaid shirt until I moved to Portland and now they're taking over my closet. I've also got an unhealthy obsession with beanies. They're perfect for those mornings where it's just too cold to get out of bed and into the shower. Pop one on, throw in a messy braid, and you're good to go for a casual look.

Because I couldn't really take my bouquet on the plane, I saved the succulents from it and Ryan's boutonnière, and replanted them in terrariums when we got home.

My dad made these planter boxes for our centerpieces!

Y'all, it has not stopped raining in Portland! This past Monday was the wettest day in the HISTORY of the city! Highways were shutdown, the city was totally flooded, and they had to pump water from the parking lots at my office! But, that's totally okay since I've been swamped by Sundance Film Festival prep.

Ryan and I managed to get outside for a period of about 15 minutes last weekend and enjoyed the beautiful Christmas lights around downtown Portland. I made sure to wear my holiday hoody from Mindy Mae's Market, whom I originally found on IG, and fell in love with. (I will use any excuse to wear this thing!) I had to add this piece to my holiday wardrobe ASAP. It's the perfect blend of tacky sweater meets cozy winter top. A-symmetrical zipper, FTW! The best part? Can we talk about this SOREL beanie for a sec? How adorable is the huge fur poof on the top?! I've had this in my closet since spring and have been itching for a cold enough day to make it's debut. This piece is a part of the revival of SOREL outerwear and accessories, so get 'em while they're hot!

As much as I wear black on a daily basis, I am such a sucker for bright colored pieces. When I was little, I wanted to be Punky Brewster SO bad. California Wedding | First Looks | 11.14.15

Sharing a glimpse into our wedding, located at Cass Winery in Paso Robles, California. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting to host our close friends and family for the weekend. After a year and a half of planning, everything fell perfectly into place to make for an evening that Ryan and I won't soon forget. All photos were shot by Peer Johnson, who did such an amazing job wrangling all of our crazy friends and capturing every single moment.
